NCAA Division III most flag football teams, thanks to the being the largest of NCAA's three divisions. Three conferences will sponsor the sport in the 2025-26 academic year: Atlantic East, Empire 8, and United East. The Atlantic East began competition in 2025 at the varsity level, while the United East had a club level season. The Empire 8 will have its first season in 2026. Beyond those three conferences, there are plenty of independent and additional club teams in Division III.

Please note that Chestnut Hill College (PA) and Holy Family (PA) are both NCAA D-II institutions, but will compete in the NCAA Division III Atlantic East Conference in 2025-26. Penn State Schuylkill (PA) is a member of the USCAA but will compete in the Atlantic East as well. All three of those schools are included on the map. Finally, Augustana (SD) is a D-II program and competes in a club league with five NCAA Division III schools but is not listed on the D-III map as a club team. Should those programs become varsity teams, Augustana will be added. A list of all the NCAA Division III teams is also provided below the map.

A few future notes: Rosemont (PA) will have a varsity program for the 2025-26 academic year, but will turn all varsity teams into club teams in 2026-27 after merging with Villanova (PA). Bethany (WV), Cal Lutheran (CA), Concordia (TX), Heidelberg (OH), and Hendrix (AR) are planning to play as club teams in 2025-26 and hope to become varsity teams in 2026-27.

We have also provided separate maps and lists for NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NAIA, and schools outside the NCAA/NAIA. Feel free to check out those individual pages or the list of future flag football teams that will compete starting in 2026-27 or later.
