NCAA Division 2 Women's College Flag Football Teams
NCAA Division II flag football is growing at the varsity level and will have the second-most varsity programs competing in the 2026-27 academic year. The growth has seen the conference sponsorship double from two to four for the 2027 spring season:
- Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC)
- Central Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (CIAA)
- Conference Carolinas
- Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC)
The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) and Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) are new for the 2026-27 academic year. The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (CIAA) is elevating to varsity status after two years sponsoring a club championship. The multi-divisional Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) also sponsors women's flag football, with D-II teams competing against teams from Divisions I and III, as well as a handful of non-NCAA teams.
Mount St. Mary's University (MD) is a member of NCAA Division I, but will compete in the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas. Augustana University (SD) is a D-II program and competes in a club league with eight NCAA Division III schools. A list of all the NCAA Division II teams is also provided below the map. All women's college flag football changes going into effect with the 2026-27 academic year can be found here.
Feel free to check out the main teams section, where you can view all affiliations and divisions in one location. We have also provided separate maps and lists for NCAA Division I, NCAA Division III, NAIA, and schools outside the NCAA/NAIA. Feel free to check out those individual pages or the list of future flag football teams that will compete starting in 2027-28 or later.
