Welcome to the November 24 edition of the women's flag football newsletter here at Collegiate Flag Football. We will look at the various stories and happenings across the sport over the last week, between Monday, November 17, and Sunday, November 23, 2025. 2 Additions This Week
Anna Maria College (MA) will add a varsity women's flag football team beginning with the 2026-27 academic year. Anna Maria is the first member of the NCAA Division III Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) to add flag football.
St. John Fisher University (NY) will add a varsity women's flag football program beginning with the 2026-27 academic year. St. John Fisher is the sixth member of the NCAA Division III Empire 8 Conference to add a team.
The list of collegiate flag football programs was updated this week, with team websites updated to the correct links. For schools that don't have a dedicated page on the athletic website, an Instagram link was substituted. Please feel free to reach out with any corrections or changes.
2025-26 Scheduling News
Cal Poly (CA) will host its first spring tournament on Saturday, May 9, and Sunday, May 10, 2026. The tournament is open to any school that wishes to participate and it will be held on campus in San Luis Obispo, California. Any collegiate flag football program interested in competing at Cal Poly's tournament should contact Ryan Weisenberg (rweisenb AT calpoly.edu).
The 2025-26 National Collegiate Flag Football League (NCFFL) registration is open, with one spot remaining. The spring 2026 campaign will feature a 10-game season, with playoffs and a championship in 2026. The NCFFL also posted dates for its spring tournaments and championships, which are as follows:
The first spring tournament will take place on Saturday, March 28, and Sunday, March 29, at Howard Community College (MD) in Columbia, Maryland. The second spring tournament will take place two weeks later, on Friday, April 10, and Saturday, April 11, at Lancaster Bible College (PA) in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Finally, the NCFFL National Championships will be held on Saturday, May 2, and Sunday, May 3, at the Capelli Sports Complex in Tinton Falls, New Jersey.
UPDATED THIS WEEK: The NCFFL is looking for schools that would like to host a flag football tournament during the 2026-27 academic year. The NCFFL plans to have at least 8 events next season. For fall 2026, the aim is to have 2 East Coast and 1 West Coast tournaments. For spring 2027, the NCFFL is hoping to have 4 regionals in the Central and Eastern US, 2 in the Midwest and West Coast, and the National Championship. Those interested should email admin AT nc-ffl.com for additional information.
The NCFFL updated the membership for the 2025-26 academic year. 20 schools will participate during the 2025-26 academic year, and there is only 1 spot left for the spring 2026 season. The full list of current schools is provided below.

The Women's Collegiate Flag Football League (WCFFL) is looking for additional teams to compete during the 2025-26 academic year. The WCFFL will have tournaments in the fall and spring. Those interested should contact Venisha Lee (wcflagfootball1 AT gmail.com).
The Golden State Games will take place in Irvine, California, on MLK weekend from Friday, January 16, through Sunday, January 18, 2026. Although the Women's College Division has filled up, those interested in playing preseason games can join the waitlist.
NEW THIS WEEK: The 2026 Football Canada Flag Football National Championships Schedule was announced last week. The Collegiate Flag National Championships will take place from Friday, May 1, through Sunday, May 3, in Regina, Saskatchewan. Two weeks later, the Elite Flag National Championships will be held in Kingston, Ontario.
The third event will be the Senior Flag National Championships from Friday, June 26, through Sunday, June 28, in Montréal, Québec. The final event will be the Club Flag National Championships from Friday, July 31, through Sunday, August 2, in Ottawa, Ontario.
NEW THIS WEEK: Florida Memorial University announced its 2026 spring schedule. The Lions will start with home games against Life University (GA) on Thursday, February 19, and Hope International University (CA) on Saturday, February 21. Next up will be a road game at Alabama State University on Saturday, February 28, along with an exhibition that same day versus Andrew College (GA).
March starts with a road game at St. Thomas University (FL) on Tuesday, March 3. FMU will then play in the IFFA's Mid-Season Tournament on Friday, March 6, and Saturday, March 7. Sun Conference play will begin on Thursday, March 12, against Webber International University (FL). The following week will see FMU play three straight days on the road: Point University (GA) on Thursday, March 19, Thomas University (GA) on March 20, and Brewton-Parker Christian University (GA) on March 21.
March will end with a home game against Reinhardt University (GA) on Friday, March 27, followed by a road game at Keiser University (FL) on Saturday, March 28. The regular season concludes with games against Warner University (FL) on Saturday, April 4, and senior day on Thursday, April 9, versus St. Thomas (FL).
NEW THIS WEEK: North Central Missouri College announced its two home games for the spring 2026 season. NCMC will take on Kansas Wesleyan University on Tuesday, February 24, and Pratt Community College (KS) on Saturday, March 28. The Pirates also have tournaments scheduled for Friday, March 6, and Saturday, March 7, in Florida, and another in Arizona on Saturday, April 4.
NEW THIS WEEK: The University of Saint Mary (KS) released its spring 2026 schedule, which will begin on Wednesday, March 4, at Baker University (KS). The Spires will then have back-to-back home games on Saturday, March 7, against Hesston College (KS) and Wednesday, March 11, versus Graceland University (IA). Saturday, March 14, will be a road game at Kansas Wesleyan University, followed by a home matchup against Midland University (NE) on Wednesday, March 18. March will end with a trio of games: on Saturday, March 21, at Cottey College (MO), home against Ottawa University (KS) on Wednesday, March 25, and home versus Southwestern College (KS) on Saturday, March 28.
April will kick off with back-to-back road trips against William Woods University (MO) on Wednesday, April 1, and Bethel College (KS) on Saturday, April 4. William Woods will make the return trip on Saturday, April 11, followed by a final road game at North Central Missouri College on Wednesday, April 15. Senior Day will take place on Saturday, April 18, versus Cottey.
Chicago Bears Document IHSA Flag Football, to Launch League in Spain
The NFL's Chicago Bears are launching a girls flag football league in Barcelona and Madrid, Spain, later this year. The Bears previously held clinics in Spain in 2022. The kickoff event was attended by members of Spain's women's national team.
The Bears also posted the first part of their three-part series documenting the flag football season at Whitney Young High School in Chicago, Illinois. Gabby Hajduk and Molly Kaiser document the 2025 season, starting with the preseason through the end of the regular season.

UPDATED THIS WEEK: Anna Maria College (MA) posted a job description for a part-time women's flag football head coaching role. Anna Maria will begin competing in the 2026-27 academic year.
Aurora University (IL) posted a job description for a part-time assistant women's flag football coaching position.
Benedictine University (IL) posted a job description for a seasonal assistant coaching position.
NEW THIS WEEK: California Lutheran University named Marissa Lopez as the program's head coach.
Campbellsville University (KY) is seeking a part-time assistant flag football coach. The Tigers named Spencer McCown head coach in July 2025.
Cedar Crest College (PA) posted the job description for the flag football head coaching vacancy. Amanda Avvento was previously the head coach.
NEW THIS WEEK: Centenary University (NJ) appointed Francisco Lopez as the flag football head coach, according to the school's athletic website. Jake McMullan was previously in charge of the Cyclones for the 2025 spring season, which saw Centenary finish 6-6 and reach the Atlantic East Conference tournament.
The College of Saint Benedict (MN) posted a job description for a women's flag football head coaching vacancy. CSB will begin competing as a club team during the 2025-26 academic year.
NEW THIS WEEK: Erskine College (SC) appointed Cheyenne Fuller as the women's flag football head coach, according to the school's athletic website. Drew Wallace was selected as the Director of Flag Football. Ester Alencar previously led the team.
Greenville University (IL) posted a job description for a women's flag football head coaching position. Greenville hasn't made an official announcement about adding a flag football program.
NEW THIS WEEK: Grossmont College (CA) posted the job description for the women's flag football head coaching role.
Guilford College (NC) posted the job description for the women's flag football head coaching vacancy. Guilford will begin playing flag football in the 2026-27 academic year.
Hastings College (NE) posted the job description for the women's flag football head coaching position. Hastings will begin playing in the 2026-27 academic year.
Howard Payne University (TX) posted the job description for the women's flag football coaching vacancy. HPU will begin competing during the 2026-27 academic year.
Indiana Wesleyan University posted the head coaching job description for the newly formed flag football team. IWU will begin competing during the 2026-27 academic year.
NEW THIS WEEK: Kansas Wesleyan University named Chris Snyder as the flag football program's next head coach. Snyder will replace Melinda Nguyen, who went 49-17 overall in three seasons. Snyder is an assistant coach on the men's football team and will continue those duties as head coach of the flag football team.
Lewis University (IL) posted the job description for the women's flag football head coach opening. Lewis will play its first season in the 2026-27 academic year.
NEW THIS WEEK: Manhattan University (NY) posted a job description for the women's flag football head coaching vacancy. Manhattan has not made a formal announcement regarding the addition of a flag football program.
NEW THIS WEEK: North Central Missouri College named Dean Bickley as an assistant flag football coach.
Penn State Schuylkill (PA) is seeking a part-time defensive coordinator. The Nittany Lions will compete in the NCAA Division III Atlantic East Conference in the 2025-26 academic year.
Richard Bland College (VA) posted the job description for the women's flag football head coaching vacancy. RBC will take the field in the 2026-27 academic year.
Saginaw Valley State University (MI) posted the job description for the women's flag football head coaching position. SVSU will begin competing during the 2026-27 academic year.
Schreiner University (TX) posted the job description for the women's flag football head coaching position. Schreiner will begin playing during the 2026-27 academic year.
The University of Bridgeport (CT) posted the job description for a women's flag football head coaching vacancy. Bridgeport will play its first season in the 2026-27 academic year.
NEW THIS WEEK: The University of North Alabama posted the job description for the women's flag football head coach opening. The Lions will begin competing in the 2026-27 academic year.
Union College (NY) posted the job description for the women's flag football head coaching position. Union will begin competing in the 2026-27 academic year.

Hope International University (CA) will host a women's flag football youth and prospect camp on Sunday, November 30. The youth camp is for 5th through 8th grades, while the high school prospect camp is for 9th through 12th grade and college transfers. The Camp will be held from 12 to 2 PM at Warren High School in Downey, California.
UPDATED THIS WEEK: NYS Elite Athletics (NY) will host a girls high school flag football showcase and college fair on Sunday, November 30. The college fair will take place from 9 to 10 AM, followed by the field showcase from 10 AM to 12 PM. The schools that will attend the camp include D'Youville University (NY), Eastern University (PA), Elmira College (NY), Genesee Community College (NY), Hartwick College (NY), Mercyhurst University (PA), Meredith College (NC), Roberts Wesleyan (NY), St. Thomas Aquinas College (NY), SUNY Brockport (NY), SUNY Geneseo (NY), Villa Maria College (NY), and William Smith College (NY).
Arizona Christian University moved its youth flag football camp from Friday, November 14, to Friday, December 5. The clinic will be held on campus at ACU's main football field from 6:30 to 8:30 PM.
The Kansas City Chiefs will help put on a high school girls flag football showcase on Friday, December 5. The showcase will take place from 5:15 to 7:30 PM at Styker Sports Complex in Wichita, Kansas.
Baker University (KS) will host a girls flag football camp on Saturday, December 6, from 10 AM to 12 PM. The clinic will be held on campus at Liston Stadium in Baldwin City, Kansas.
Blackburn College (IL) will host a high school women's flag football clinic on Sunday, December 6, from 9 AM to 12 PM. The clinic will be held at the Blackburn Athletic Center's indoor turf facility.
Daytona State College (FL) will host a skills and ID camp on Saturday, December 6, in Daytona Beach, Florida. The camp will take place from 10 AM to 1 PM on campus.
The Houston Texans will host an NFL Flag Regional Tournament on Saturday, December 6. The tournament will be held at Farm League Park in Spring, Texas. Registration for the tournament ends on Monday, November 10.
Norco College (CA) will host a showcase camp on Saturday, December 6, from 11 AM to 2 PM. The camp will be attended by Arizona Christian (AZ), Aurora (IL), Benedictine Mesa (AZ), Golden West (CA), Hope International (CA), Irvine Valley College (CA), La Sierra (CA), Ottawa (AZ), Purdue Northwest (IN), Santiago Canyon College (CA), and Simpson (CA).
Ottawa University (AZ) will host a flag football recruit day on Saturday, December 6, from 9 AM to 3 PM. The experience will allow recruits to meet coaches, tour the campus, and participate in a few drills.
Warner University (FL) will host a showcase camp on Saturday, December 6, in Lake Wales, Florida. The camp will take place from 9:30 AM to 3 PM and is open to players graduating between 2026 and 2029. Coaches from LaGrange College (GA), St. Thomas University (FL), and Wingate (NC) will be in attendance.
USA Football is hosting a Talent ID Camp in association with the Houston Texans on Sunday, December 7. The camp will be held at Farm League Park in Spring, Texas.
Whittier College (CA) will host a showcase camp on Sunday, December 7, in Whittier, California. The camp will take place from 9:30 AM to 3 PM and is open to players graduating between 2026 and 2029. Coaches from Arizona Christian University, Golden West College (CA), and La Sierra University (CA) will be in attendance.
There will be a showcase camp at Locust Grove High School (GA) on Sunday, December 14, in Locust Grove, Georgia. The camp will take place from 9:30 AM to 3 PM and is open to players graduating between 2026 and 2029. Coaches from Chowan University (NC), LaGrange College (GA), Meredith College (NC), Reinhardt University (GA), and Wingate (NC) will be in attendance.
USA Flag will host the 2026 World Championships from Wednesday, January 14, through Sunday, January 18, 2026, in Tampa, Florida. The deadline to secure a spot is Friday, October 10. Teams can still register between October 11 and December 5, but will be placed on a waiting list.
The Golden States Games will take place from Friday, January 16, through Sunday, January 18, 2026, in Irvine, California. There will be divisions for nearly every age group, including a women's college flag division. Part of the Games will have a Prospect Showcase hosted by Cal Poly, and they will partner up with the NFL's Los Angeles Chargers.
Duke University (NC) will partner with Next Level Flag Football to host a 7-week season from Sunday, January 18, 2026, through Sunday, March 1, 2026. The league is coed and open to local students in first through sixth grades.
The Heritage Girls Flag Bowl will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, in San Diego, California. The Flag Bowl is open to junior and senior high school students. Players interested in participating can register here, with coaches from the two teams evaluating and ranking players to provide an opportunity to be drafted to play in the Heritage Bowl. The registration deadline is Saturday, October 25, and players will be drafted on Saturday, November 1. Players participating in the Flag Bowl will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to San Diego.
Villa Maria College (NY) will have a women's flag football camp & showcase on Saturday, February 14, 2026, which will feature US Women's National Team member Izzy Geraci. The camp will take place from 12 PM to 2:30 PM at Villa Maria's athletic center in Buffalo, New York.
Howard Community College (MD) will host a spring flag football league in the Spring of 2026. Games will be played each Sunday, starting March 22, 2026, and the league will conclude on June 14, 2026.
Howard Community College (MD) will host a flag football scouting combine the weekend of Saturday, March 28, 2026, and Sunday, March 29, 2026. The camp will take place in Columbia, Maryland, and is open to high school girls in grades 9 through 12. The camp coincides with the NCFFL's Maryland Championship Series.
Lancaster Bible College (PA) will host a flag football scouting combine on Friday, April 10, 2026, and Saturday, April 11, 2026. The camp will take place in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and is open to high school girls in grades 9 through 12. The camp coincides with the NCFFL's Pennsylvania Championship Series.
The NCFFL will host a national flag football scouting combine on the weekend of Saturday, May 2, 2026, and Sunday, May 3, 2026. The camp will take place in Tinton Falls, New Jersey, and is open to high school girls in grades 9 through 12. The camp coincides with the NCFFL's Nationals tournament the same weekend.
Millersville University (PA) will host its 2nd annual girls flag football camp from Wednesday, June 24, through Sunday, June 28, 2026. The camp will feature two-a-day practices, film review, evaluations, guest speakers, and strength and conditioning.
High School Champs Crowned in Arizona, California, and North Carolina
A quartet of high school flag football championships were determined in Arizona. #2 Scottsdale Christian claimed the 3A State title after upsetting top-seeded Heritage 10-7. The 4A Championship went to #4 Salpointe Catholic after defeating #2 Eastmark 17-0. The 5A title went to #1 Campo Verde, which crushed #2 Chaparral 57-0. In the 6A championship, #3 Hamilton won a defensive battle 7-0 against #4 Red Mountain.
In California, the L.A. City Section flag football championships were decided. In Division I, #8 Carson defeated #11 El Camino Real 18-6. In Division II, top-seeded Sun Valley Magnet bested #3 San Fernando 20-12 to win the title. The Division III championship was won by #13 Westchester, which upset #2 Hawkins 37-32 in a shootout. The Open Division was captured by #4 Marshall 20-0 over #2 Eagle Rock.
In North Carolina, Wakefield defeated Ashley 20-6 to win the state championship. Flag football isn't a sanctioned high school varsity sport in North Carolina, but that could change soon.
NFL's Buffalo Bills Partner With Football Ontario
The Buffalo Bills and Football Ontario announced a partnership that will run through March 2027. The agreement will see the Buffalo Bills support various flag football events in Ontario, Canada. Some events the Bills will support include the 2025 Fall Cup Provincial Championships, the 2025 Metro Bowl, and the 2026 High School Girls Flag Provincial Championships. A full list of events will be announced at a later date.
Ottawa Braves Showcase During Chiefs Game
The Ottawa University Braves (KS) played an intrasquad scrimmage at halftime of the Indianapolis Colts-Kansas City Chiefs game on Sunday. The Braves were also honored as the Team of the Game. Ottawa will start its five-time NAIA title defense in February 2026.
US Women's National Team Honored at Rams Halftime
The US Women's National Flag Football Team was honored before the start of the NFL's Sunday Night Football game between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Los Angeles Rams. Amber Clark-Robinson, Izzy Geraci, Laneah Bryan, and Vanita Krouch showed off their 2024 IFAF World Championship Gold Medals, took pictures with Bucs and Rams players, and received personalized Rams jerseys. Los Angeles 2028 Games chairman Casey Wasserman also discussed the excitement for flag football in an interview with NBC's Mike Tirico.
