 Table of Contents

NCAA

Atlantic East

Two teams continue to stand out in the Atlantic East Conference. Marymount (VA) sits at 18-2 overall and 13-1 in the AEC, but didn't play any conference games this week. Behind them is Eastern (PA), which defeated Immaculata (PA) 13-0 on Saturday to move to 13-2 overall and 11-1 in the AEC. Immaculata is 11-3 overall and 10-3 in the AEC. Some of the non-conference games played by Marymount and Eastern were part of the ECAC, which will be discussed in that section.

CIAA

Winston-Salem State (NC) took home its second straight CIAA title by defeating Fayetteville State 12-6 in the championship game. WSSU received the lone bye into the semifinals as the top seed and defeated Claflin (SC) 13-0. Meanwhile, Fayetteville State posted shutouts of Bowie State (MD) 14-0 in the quarterfinals and Virginia Union 18-0 in the semifinals. The championship game was defensive as expected, but FSU scored first. The WSSU defense would not allow another point, with Chakira Generette accounting for both offensive scores on the ground. The CIAA will enter a new era in spring 2027 when it elevates flag football to varsity status.

Conference Carolinas

The Conference Carolinas came down to the final weekend... and an outright winner was not determined. Both Wingate (NC) and Ferrum (VA) finished 8-1 to claim a share of the conference title.
