5 Additions This Week, 1 Change
Azusa Pacific University (CA) will add a women's flag football club team beginning with the 2026-27 academic year. APU will elevate the program to varsity status in the 2027-28 academic year.
Cal Poly Pomona and UC San Diego will also add women's flag football club teams for the 2026-27 academic year.
The College of Saint Mary (NE) will compete as an affiliate member in the NAIA's Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) for the 2027 spring season. The Flames are not to be confused with the University of Saint Mary in Kansas, which currently competes in the KCAC.
Mayville State University (ND) will add a varsity women's flag football program beginning with the 2026-27 academic year. MSU is the first team from North Dakota and the NAIA's Frontier Conference to add a team.
St. Olaf College (MN) is launching a women's flag football club team for the 2026 spring season. St. Olaf will compete in the Midwest College Women's Flag Football League (MCWFFL) alongside 8 other club teams.
2026 Season News
There was no shortage of big games last week across the NCAA and NAIA. Three regular season champions were decided in the NAIA, two conference tournament brackets were determined, and a conference champion was crowned. Congrats to the Winston-Salem State Rams (NC) for winning a second straight CIAA Championship. Read all about last week's action here.
The NAIA released its first ARC and RPI rankings for the 2026 season. The first RPI ranking was released on Monday, April 6, with Keiser (FL), Ottawa (KS), Kansas Wesleyan, Hope International (CA), and Warner (FL) as the top five teams. The full rankings for April 6 can be found here.
The second RPI ranking on Monday, April 13, saw several notable changes. Ottawa (KS) moved up from 2nd to 1st, while Warner (FL) jumped from 5th to 2nd. Keiser (FL) fell from 1st to 3rd, Hope International (CA) remained unchanged in 4th, and Kansas Wesleyan dropped from 3rd to 5th. The full RPI rankings for April 13 can be found here. The RPI will be released again on Monday, April 20 and 27.
The ARC (Area Ratings Committee) is broken down into East (6), Midwest (12), North (12), and South (6) regions. The ARC will help determine the four at-large berths and one automatic qualifying bid to the NAIA's Invitational tournament next month. Milligan (TN) is at the top of the East region, followed by Lindsey Wilson (KY) and Saint Francis (IN). The teams in the East regional are in contention for the last AQ spot in the Invitational, as the KCAC (Midwest), Sun (North), and GSAC (South) will have their bids go to the conference tournament winners.
The Midwest region's top 3 are Ottawa (KS), Kansas Wesleyan, and Baker (KS). The North's top 3 are Warner (FL), Keiser (FL), and Webber International (FL). The South's top 3 are Hope International (CA), La Sierra (CA), and Arizona Christian. The full ARC release from Wednesday, April 8, can be found here. The next ARC release will be on Wednesday, April 22, and the final one will be on Monday, April 27.
2026 NAIA In-Season Poll #1
The NAIA released its first in-season poll for the 2026 season on Thursday, April 9. The in-season selections were made by the NAIA's women's flag football national selection committee. Warner (FL) took the top spot from Ottawa (KS), followed by Keiser (FL) in third. The top five is rounded out by Kansas Wesleyan in fourth and Hope International (CA) in fifth. The full can be found below. One more poll will be released on Tuesday, April 22. Please note that the previous rank refers to the preseason coaches' poll.

NEW THIS WEEK: Azusa Pacific University (SC) named Bo Beatty as the program's first head coach. Beatty will guide the APU from a club team in the 2026-27 academic year to varsity status in the 2027-28 academic year.
NEW THIS WEEK: Bethel College (KS) head coach Felicia Teeter resigned after two seasons with the program. Teeter is taking the running backs coaching position at John Carroll University (OH). Bethel played in only four games during the 2024 season. Teeter went 0-21 across the 2025 and 2026 seasons.
Binghamton University (NY) posted the job description for the women's flag football head coaching position. Binghamton will begin competing in the 2026-27 academic year.
Campbellsville University (KY) is seeking a graduate assistant for the 2026-27 academic year. Those interested should contact head coach Spencer McCown at psmccown@campbellsville.edu.
NEW THIS WEEK: Charleston Southern University (SC) named Angela Villarreal as the football program's first head coach. Villarreal has competed at the US Women's Flag Football National Team trials the last three years as a wide receiver and defensive back. CSU will begin competing in the 2027-28 academic year, and the Big South Conference will sponsor varsity flag football in spring 2028.
Central Community College (NE) posted a job description for the women's flag football head coaching position. CCC hopes to begin competing as soon as the 2026-27 academic year.
NEW THIS WEEK: Dominican University New York named Anthony DiMarsico as the inaugural flag football head coach. DiMarsico previously coached middle and high school football in Nyack, New York.
East Texas Baptist University is seeking a graduate assistant. Those interested should send their resume and a statement of faith to head coach Maddie Melton at mmelton@etbu.edu. ETBU will begin competing in the 2026-27 academic year.
Elizabethtown College (PA) posted the application form for the women's flag football head coaching vacancy. Elizabethtown will begin competing during the 2027-28 academic year.
Fairleigh Dickinson University (NJ) posted an opening for a graduate assistant position. Those interested should contact head coach Steve Arnold via social media or send an email to fduflagfootball@gmail.com. FDU will play its first varsity season in the 2026-27 academic year.
Gardner-Webb University (NC) posted the job description for the women's flag football head coaching position. GWU announced the addition of flag football in mid-February.
Graceland University (IA) posted the job description for the women's flag football head coaching vacancy. Previous head coach Aaron Richardson is leaving to take the same position at Lewis University (IL).
The Guimond Vukovic Group (GVG) is offering postgraduate opportunities for athletes seeking a one-year master's degree in the United Kingdom. Scholarship opportunities are available for students with a GPA of 2.8 or higher. Athletes who wish to continue playing collegiate flag football, develop programs, build the sport internationally, or pursue coaching opportunities are encouraged to apply. GVG offers a free service to connect student-athletes with partner institutions in the U.K. The FAQ section on GVG's website provides additional information. This postgraduate opportunity is in the United Kingdom.
Harrisburg Area Community College (PA) posted a job description for the women's flag football head coaching vacancy. HACC competes in the NJCAA.
Howard Payne University (TX) posted the job description for the women's flag football coaching vacancy. HPU will begin competing during the 2026-27 academic year.
NEW THIS WEEK: Illinois Wesleyan University no longer lists Stephen Harris as an assistant coach.
Indiana Wesleyan University posted the job description for an assistant women's flag football coaching vacancy. IWU will begin competing in the 2026-27 academic year.
Knox College (IL) posted the job description for the women's flag football head coaching position. Knox will begin competing in the 2026-27 academic year.
NEW THIS WEEK: Mayville State University (ND) named Tim Salmon as the program's inaugural head coach. Salmon is an assistant coach on the men's tackle football team and will help build the Mayville State program, which will begin competing in the 2026-27 academic year.
NEW THIS WEEK: Menlo College (CA) named Rachel Sianez as the program's first head coach. Sianez was most recently the defensive coordinator for the NAIA's Kansas Wesleyan University Coyotes. Sianez helped KWU capture the NAIA's B Championship final in 2024. Menlo will begin competing in the 2026-27 academic year.
Meredith College (NC) posted the job description for an assistant coach position. for the 2026-27 academic year. Meredith will begin competing in the 2026-27 academic year.
NEW THIS WEEK: Mount Mary University (WI) named Ryan Losinski as the program's first head coach. Losinski previously coached the cross country and track & field teams at nearby Bryant & Stratton College. Mount Mary will begin competing in the 2026-27 academic year.
Murray State College (OK) is seeking a head coach for its men's club team and women's varsity program. Both teams will begin competing in the 2026-27 academic year. Those interested should send a letter of application, resume, unofficial transcripts, employment application, and background consent form to the human resource office at mscemployment@mscok.edu.
Newberry College (SC) posted an opening for a graduate assistant position. Newberry's flag football program will join the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas beginning with the 2026-27 academic year.
Olivet Nazarene University (IL) posted the job description for an assistant women's flag football coaching vacancy. ONU will begin competing in the 2026-27 academic year.
Our Lady of the Lake University (TX) posted a job description for a flag football head coaching position. OLLU will begin playing in the 2026-27 academic year.
Saint Xavier University (IL) posted a job description for a flag football head coaching vacancy. SXU will begin competing in the 2026-27 academic year.

SCAD Savannah (GA) posted the job description for an assistant coach on the women's flag football staff. SCAD will begin competing in the 2026-27 academic year and named Cristian Orth as head coach in November 2025.
Slippery Rock University (PA) posted a job description for the women's flag football head coaching position. SRU plans to compete at the varsity level beginning with the 2027-28 academic year.

The University of North Carolina Asheville will host a women's flag football prospect camp in coordination with the Carolina Panthers on Wednesday, April 15. The prospect day will be held from 1 to 6 PM, and participants have the option of either the entire day or the flag football clinic from 3 to 6 PM.
Pratt Community College (KS) will host a flag football combine on Friday, April 17, from 2 to 4 PM. Pratt will also host an open practice from 4 to 6 PM.
The Conference Carolinas (NC) is hosting a flag football clinic on Saturday, April 18, as part of the conference championship weekend. The first clinic will be held from 9 to 10 AM for kids ages 7 to 14, while a second clinic will take place from 10 to 11 AM for high school students. The clinic will be held at Durham County Memorial Stadium in Durham, North Carolina.
Guilford College (NC) will host a flag football prospect day on Saturday, April 18, from 1 to 5 PM. The camp is open to 9th through 12th graders and will be held on campus in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Shelton State Community College (AL) is hosting a girls flag football showcase on Saturday, April 18, from 12 to 2 PM. The showcase is open to 9th graders through college freshmen and will be held on campus in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
The Carolina Panthers will host an NFL FLAG Spring Regional on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at Manchester Meadows in Rock Hill, South Carolina. The registration deadline is Monday, March 16, 2026.
The Detroit Lions will host an NFL FLAG Spring Regional on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at Tom Adams Field at Wayne State in Detroit, Michigan. The registration deadline is Monday, March 16, 2026.
Cal Lutheran University (CA) will host a girls flag football prospect camp on Saturday, April 25. The camp will include a campus tour at 9 AM, followed by the camp from 10 AM to 12 PM. The camp is open to athletes ages 11 to 17 and will take place on the campus's North Field in Thousand Oaks, California.
The Pittsburgh Steelers will host an NFL FLAG Spring Super Regional on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Montour Sports Center in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania. The registration deadline is Monday, March 23, 2026.
The Atlanta Falcons will host an NFL FLAG Spring Regional on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Franklin Gateway in Marietta, Georgia. The registration deadline is Monday, March 30, 2026.
The Los Angeles Rams will host an NFL FLAG Spring Regional on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Edison High School in Huntington Beach, California. The registration deadline is Monday, March 30, 2026.
The NCFFL will host a national flag football scouting combine on the weekend of Saturday, May 2, 2026, and Sunday, May 3, 2026. The camp will take place in Tinton Falls, New Jersey, and is open to high school girls in grades 9 through 12. The camp coincides with the NCFFL's Nationals tournament the same weekend.
The Denver Broncos will host an NFL FLAG Spring Regional on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Aurora Sports Park in Aurora, Colorado. The registration deadline is Monday, April 6, 2026.
The Los Angeles Rams will host an adult Talent ID Camp on Saturday, May 9, 2026, in Long Beach, California. The camp will run from 9 AM to 5 PM. The registration deadline is Friday, May 1, 2026.
The Minnesota Vikings will host an NFL FLAG Spring Regional on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at The Ponds Athletic Complex in Prior Lake, Minnesota. The registration deadline is Monday, April 6, 2026.
The Philadelphia Eagles will host an NFL FLAG Spring Regional on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at United Sports in Downingtown, Pennsylvania. The registration deadline is Monday, April 6, 2026.
NEW THIS WEEK: Eureka College (IL) will host a girls flag football clinic in May or June 2026. The clinic will be held in coordination with the Chicago Bears on campus in Eureka, Illinois.
The Green Bay Packers will host an NFL FLAG Spring Regional on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at the Don Hutson Center & Ray Nitschke Field in Ashwaubenon, Wisconsin. The registration deadline is Monday, April 27, 2026.
The New York Giants will host an NFL FLAG Spring Regional on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at West Orange High School in West Orange, New Jersey. The registration deadline is Monday, April 27, 2026.
She Plays (AZ) is hosting a girls flag football college showcase and combine on Sunday, May 31, 2026. The showcase will be held from 9 AM to 12 PM in Chandler, Arizona. Arizona Christian University, Benedictine University at Mesa (AZ), Chowan University (NC), Grossmont College (CA), Lourdes University (OH), Mars Hill University (NC), Meredith College (NC), North Park University (IL), SCAD Savannah (GA), University of Arizona, University of Northwestern Ohio, and University of Redlands (CA) are expected to be in attendance.
Calhoun Community College (AL) is hosting a pair of flag football camps at the start of June. On Monday, June 1, a camp will be held from 9 AM to 12 PM for students in grades 3 through 8. On Tuesday, June 2, a camp will be held from 9 AM to 3 PM for 9th through 12th graders.
Nike is hosting a girls flag football camp in Atlanta, Georgia, from Monday, June 1, through Friday, June 5. The camp is open to ages 8 through 18 and will be held at the Lovett School in Atlanta.
Nike is hosting a coed flag football camp in Rockford, Illinois, from Wednesday, June 3, through Friday, June 5. The camp is open to ages 7 through 14, and will be held at Clarence Hicks Memorial Sports Park in Rockford. Illinois College head coach Mark Grounds will be one of the camp coaches.
The Cleveland Browns will host an NFL FLAG Spring Regional on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Euclid High School in Euclid, Ohio. The registration deadline is Monday, May 4, 2026.
The Seattle Seahawks will host an NFL FLAG Spring Regional on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Kasch Park in Everett, Washington. The registration deadline is Monday, May 4, 2026.
The University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh will host The Titan College Showcase on Saturday, June 13, 2026. A campus tour will take place from 9:30 to 11:30 AM, followed by the camp from 12 to 4:30 PM. The camp will take place at J.J. Keller Field at Titan Stadium.
The College of Saint Benedict (MN) will host a flag football prospect camp from Monday, June 22, through Wednesday, June 24. The camp will be held from 9 to 11 AM daily and is open to 9th through 12th-grade students. The camp will be held at CSB's Turf Field in St. Joseph, Minnesota.
Millersville University (PA) will host its 2nd annual girls flag football camp from Wednesday, June 24, through Sunday, June 28, 2026. The camp will feature two-a-day practices, film review, evaluations, guest speakers, and strength and conditioning.
The University of South Florida will host a girls flag football camp in collaboration with Nike, from Wednesday, June 26, through Friday, June 26. The camp is open for ages 11 through 14 and will be held daily from 9 AM to 1 PM. The camp will be held at Fowler Field in Tampa, Florida.
Missouri Valley College (MO) will host a girls flag football camp in collaboration with Nike, from Friday, June 26, through Sunday, June 28. The camp will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 PM on Friday, followed by 9 AM to 2 PM on Saturday and Sunday. The camp will be held in Marshall, Missouri.

The University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh will host a No Flags Given Camp on Saturday, July 25, 2026. The camp will take place from 11 AM to 1:30 PM at J.J. Keller Field at Titan Stadium.
Run For The Legacy (MD) will host a girls flag football tournament from Wednesday, July 15, through Saturday, July 18, in Baltimore, Maryland. College coaches from across the US will attend the event, which will also include a coaches' clinic. The registration deadline is Sunday, May 31.
Mercyhurst University (PA) will host a women's flag football prospect camp on Friday, July 25, from 1 to 4 PM. The camp is open to incoming high school freshmen through seniors, and will be held on campus at Saxon Stadium in Erie, Pennsylvania.
Mount Saint Mary College (NY) will host a girls youth flag camp half-days on Monday, August 3, Tuesday, August 4, and Wednesday, August 5. The half-day camps will run from 9 AM to 12 PM, are open to girls 9 to 13 years old, and will be held on campus in Newburgh, New York.

The International Flag League (formerly USA Flag) will host its 2027 National Championships in Tampa, Florida, on MLK weekend in January 2027. The dates are tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, January 13, 2027, through Sunday, January 17, 2027.
The International Flag League (formerly USA Flag) will host its 2027 World Championships in Los Angeles, California, from Thursday, July 8, 2027, through Sunday, July 11, 2027. A collegiate division will be competing for the first time at the 2027 championships.
Big Ten Considering Flag Football?
The Big Ten Conference is keeping an eye on flag football over the next few years, according to NIL Wire. The outlet spoke to Nebraska athletics director Troy Dannen, and he noted that flag football will likely be a championship sport "in a few years." The conference will wait to "let things settle" before adding it. The Big South became the first NCAA Division I conference to announce the addition of flag football, which occurred on the same day the Big 12 was reported to be adding it in 2028. The Big 12 and Big Ten are considered "Power 4" conferences, alongside the Atlantic Coast Conference and Southeastern Conference.
Flag Football Coaches Association Launching Soon
A new initiative spearheaded by a trio of flag football ambassadors aims to help flag football coaches worldwide. Phoebe Schecter, Rob Currin, and Keith Grabowski are launching the Flag Football Coaches Association (FFCA) to provide content libraries and in-person clinics to help improve coaching quality. Phoebe Schecter is a member of Great Britain's National Women's Flag Football Team, Currin is the head coach at SUNY Geneseo (NY), and Grabowski is the CEO of Coach and Coordinator. Sign up on the FFCA's website to get updates as the site prepares to launch.
Gallaudet Spotlights Sofia Giansanti
Gallaudet University (Washington, D.C.) posted a spotlight on flag football athlete Sofia Giansanti, as part of NCAA Division III week. Minnesota To Vote on Flag Football
The Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) will vote in June on whether to move girls flag football to Emerging Status for the 2026-27 school year, with the possibility of becoming sanctioned in future years. The NFL's Minnesota Vikings have been a major factor in the growth of flag football. 51 teams competed in the spring of 2025, and that number is set to double to 104 for 2026.
New York Jets Flag Football Updates
Three players from the New York Jets Flag Elite 14U team were selected to the Girls US National Team. Razalia Colter (athlete), Myla Ramos (quarterback/defensive back), and Kaitlyn Richards (wide receiver/defensive back) will be attending a training camp at USA Football's Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center in California. The trio will train in April and May, with the Junior International Cup on the horizon from Thursday, June 18, through Sunday, June 21, in Los Angeles. The Jets Flag Elite Girls 14U team is ranked as the top team in the world by Zorts Sports, and the Jets' overall high school program is ranked 9th.
NJCAA Selects Invitational Host
The NJCAA announced that the College of DuPage (IL) will host the 2026 NJCAA Women's Flag Football Invitational. The 6-team tournament will take place in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, from Wednesday, May 6, through Saturday, May 9.
Players of the Week

The NCAA Division III Atlantic East Conference tabbed a pair of Marymount University (VA) athletes as Players of the Week. Cara Vollmer won the Offensive POTW for her 511 yards passing, 9 touchdown passes, 94 rushing yards, and 4 rushing TDs. Samayah Barnes won the Defensive POTW award after recording 18 flag pulls, 4 interceptions, two defensive touchdowns, and a pass breakup. It was the first weekly honor for both players.
The NCAA D-III Empire 8 Players of the Week saw another split of the offensive award. Quarterbacks Megan Gerber of SUNY Brockport (NY) and Ella Koopman of SUNY Geneseo (NY) won on the offensive side. Garber threw for 259 yards and 5 touchdowns, while adding another 362 yards and 5 touchdowns on the ground. Koopman threw for 551 yards and 12 scores, with another 404 yards and 2 touchdowns. It was the second award for each player. On defense, Emily McLouth from SUNY Geneseo won the award for 27 flag pulls, 2 picks, and 1 defensive score.
The NAIA's Sun Conference named Cheyenne Brooks from Life (GA) as the Offensive Player of the Week for her 486 yards and 11 touchdowns passing, with another rushing score. On defense, Angeline Bunting from Warner (FL) was the Player of the Week after recording 10 flag pulls, 2 pass breakups, and 1 interception in the win against Keiser (FL).
The NCAA D-III United East Confernece named two Gallaudet University (D.C.) athletes as its Players of the Week. Gianna Visco took home the Offensive POTW award for the second time after throwing for 497 yards and 8 touchdowns passing, while adding another 106 yards and 1 score on the ground. Citrine Lummer won the Defensive POTW for the third week in a row after recording 8 flag pulls, 1 tackle-for-loss, and 1 interception.
Saint Benedict's Drew Buslee Talks Flag Football Path
The College of Saint Benedict's (MN) Drew Buslee spoke to the school about how she ended up on the flag football team for the inaugural season. Buslee plays on the women's basketball team and wanted to compete as part of the softball team this spring, but the timing of the two sports seasons doesn't align. However, flag football's season starts after basketball season ends, giving Buslee the perfect opportunity to compete. Buslee is part of a growing trend of athletes opting to play flag football despite experience in other sports. Warner University's (FL) O'Mariah Gordon made the move from the hardwood to the gridiron this spring as well. Read more about Buslee's story here.
Two College Coaches Tabbed for Select Bowl
A pair of college flag football head coaches will help coach USA Football's Select Bowl in June. Illinois Wesleyan University's Melissa Valenzuela and the University of Texas Arlington's Melinda Nguyen will both be on the sidelines this summer. The Select Bowl is slated to take place from Wednesday, June 17, through Saturday, June 20, in Los Angeles, California.
