Welcome to the June 23 edition of the women's flag football newsletter here at Collegiate Flag Football. This will cover news between June 16 and June 22, 2025. Additions This Week
Albright College (PA) appears to be adding a flag football team, as noted by a posted job listing for a head coaching role. Albright would be the second MAC Commonwealth school to add a flag football team, following Eastern University (PA).
Xavier University (LA) will change athletic conferences for the 2026-27 academic year. Xavier will move from the Red River Athletic Conference to the Southern States Athletic Conference.
2025-26 Scheduling Openings
UPDATED THIS WEEK: The 2025-26 National Collegiate Flag Football League (NCFFL) registration is open. The NCFFL will host games in the fall and spring, with schools having the option to compete in either season or both. The spring 2026 campaign will feature a 10-game season, with playoffs and a championship. Relatedly, the NCFFL's Collegiate Flag Football Fall Classic will be held on Saturday, October 11, and Sunday, October 12, in Elizabeth, New Jersey.
Purdue Northwest (IN) is looking for opponents during the 2026 season. The school is willing to play in Jamborees and mini-tournaments within a 3-hour radius of the Hammond, Indiana area.
Coaches Clinics
Elite Flag Football (CA) is hosting a camp at Saddleback College in Mission Viejo, California. This camp will be held from 9 AM to 5:30 PM on Saturday, June 28, and Sunday, June 29. EFA is asking for college players and coaches who want to be involved to help instruct high school students and learn the new NFHS rule book.

NEW THIS WEEK: Albright College (PA) is seeking a head flag football coach.
Andrew College (GA) is seeking an assistant coach for its flag football team. The school will begin competing in the 2026 spring season as a member of the NJCAA. Those interested can send a message to the school's social media account.
Blackburn College (IL) is accepting applications for a full-time flag football coach. Blackburn announced the team earlier this year and will compete for the first time in the 2027 spring season as a member of the NCAA Division III.
Cedar Crest College (PA) is looking for a graduate assistant coach for next year. Those interested should contact Amanda Avvento.
NEW THIS WEEK: The College of Saint Mary (NE) posted the job description for its head coaching position. Saint Mary will begin competition during the 2027 spring season as a member of the NAIA.
Drake University (IA) posted a listing for its women's flag football club head coaching vacancy. The school hasn't made an official announcement about the flag football club team on its athletics website.
Iona University (NY) is looking for a part-time head coach for the women's flag football team. Iona will compete as a club team beginning with the 2026 spring season.
NEW THIS WEEK: Life University (GA) has a graduate assistant opening for the 2025-26 academic year. Those interested should contact head coach Zack Desmarais.
Mount Saint Mary College (NY) has posted a job description for a part-time women's flag football head coach. Kevin Longacre was previously in the role for the 2025 spring season.
Penn State Harrisburg (PA) posted a job description for its women's flag football head coaching role. The school previously announced Drew Scales as the head coach in March.
NEW THIS WEEK: Penn State Schuylkill (PA) is seeking a part-time defensive coordinator. The Nittany Lions will compete in the NCAA Division III Atlantic East Conference in the 2026 spring season.
Rockford University (IL) is seeking a graduate assistant for its women's flag football team next year. The position is set to start on August 4.
Thomas (GA) has an opening for its head coaching role after the departure of Chelsea Parmer earlier this month. No official listing has been posted yet, while Ni'Ja Seals has been named the interim head coach.
The University of Mount Olive (NC) is looking to hire an offensive coordinator as well as add a few volunteer coaches and team managers. Those interested should send a resume to head coach Eric James.
Virginia Wesleyan University (VA) is accepting applications for the women's flag football head coaching position. The application stipulates that this is a part-time position. Virginia Wesleyan will play its inaugural season in 2026.
NEW THIS WEEK: Winston-Salem State (NC) hired Jordan Hicks as head coach and Greg Morrisey as an assistant coach.

College of DuPage (IL) is hosting a coed skills development camp from Monday, June 23, through Wednesday, June 25. The camp will run daily from 9 AM to 3 PM. Those interested can sign up here.
The University of Saint Mary in Leavenworth, Kansas, will host the Nike BallHER flag football camp from June 24 to June 26, 2025. Baker (KS), Mars Hill (NC), and Ottawa (KS) will also have representatives in attendance.
NEW THIS WEEK: Johnson C. Smith University (NC) will host a women's flag football 7 on 7 team camp on Thursday, June 26, and Friday, June 27. The camp will be held at Irwin Belk Complex in Charlotte, North Carolina. Those interested should contact Brandon Harris (harrisb704@gmail.com).
Millersville University (PA) is hosting a camp from June 26 through 29, 2025, as noted by Cedar Crest College (PA) in nearby Allentown.
Baldwin Wallace University (OH) will host a women's flag football camp on Friday, June 27. The camp will take place from 6 PM to 9 PM at George Finnie Stadium in Berea, Ohio.
Benedictine University (IL) will host a women's flag football clinic on Saturday, June 28. The clinic will take place from 10 AM to 12 PM at the school's sports complex in Lisle.
Harrisburg Area Community College (PA) will host a women's flag football skills clinic on Saturday, June 28. The clinic will be from 10 AM to 12 PM on HACC's campus in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
Holy Family University (PA) will host two summer camps in June and July. The first camp will be held on Saturday, June 28, and Sunday, June 29. The second camp will be held on Saturday, July 12, and Sunday, July 13, for 2026 and 2027 graduates.
LaGrange College (GA) will host a flag football prospect camp on Saturday, June 28. The camp will be held from 10 AM to 1 PM, and is open to all high school players and college transfers.
Mars Hill University (NC) will host a two-day skills camp on Saturday, June 28 and Sunday, June 29. The camp will take place from 2 to 4 PM both days and be held at Meares Stadium on the Mars Hill campus.
Lindsey Wilson University (KY) will host a flag football showcase on Saturday, July 12. The showcase will be held at Mercy Academy in Louisville, Kentucky, from 6 PM to 8 PM. Those interested can fill out a Google Form.
Marian University (WI) will host a flag football prospect camp on Saturday, July 12. The camp will take place from 1 PM to 5 PM, is open to those in 9th through 12th grades, and all attendees will receive a $1,000 scholarship to Marian.
Graceland University (IA) will host its first annual flag football camp on Sunday, July 13. The school will host the camp starting at 10 AM on campus in Lamoni, Iowa.
NYS Elite Athletics (NY) will host a girls flag football camp on Wednesday, July 16. The camp will be held at the Total Sports Experience facility in Rochester, New York. The camp will take place from 6 PM to 8 PM and be attended by coaches from D'Youville, Roberts Wesleyan, and SUNY Brockport.
UTEP (TX) football players will help host a flag football camp on Thursday, July 17. The camp will be held from 6 PM to 8 PM at Jefferson High School in El Paso, Texas.
Arizona State (AZ) will host a flag football youth camp on Friday, July 18. The camp will be broken into two sessions: one from 6 to 8 PM for middle school and 8:30 to 10:30 PM for high school.
Campbellsville University (KY) will have a flag football showcase on Saturday, July 19. The showcase will take place at Finley Stadium on the campus of Campbellsville University from 4 PM to 7 PM.
NEW THIS WEEK: There will be an Elite Flag Football prospect camp in Orlando, Florida, on Sunday, July 20. The camp will take place from 12 PM to 3 PM, with Florida Gateway head coach Ricky Hufty and former Thomas (GA) head coach Chelsea Parmer as the instructors.
UPDATED THIS WEEK: Texas Wesleyan (TX) is hosting a Friday Night Lights skills and drills camp on July 18th. The camp will begin check-in at 5:30 PM and be held at Karen Cramer Football Field in Fort Worth, Texas.
Marymount University (VA) will host a youth flag football camp from Monday, July 21, through Friday, July 25. The camp will run from 9 AM through 3 PM each day in Arlington, Virginia.
Illinois Wesleyan (IL) will host a flag football summer clinic on Saturday, July 26. The clinic will take place from 9 AM to 12:30 PM on campus in Bloomington.
St. Thomas University (FL) is hosting a women's flag summer classic for travel teams on Saturday, July 26, and Sunday, July 27. The games will be held at Autonation Field on St. Thomas's campus.
SUNY Geneseo (NY) is hosting a flag football ID camp on Saturday, August 2. The camp is open to 8th through 12th graders, plus college freshmen, and will take place from 12 PM to 3 PM on Geneseo's campus.
NEW THIS WEEK: Villa Maria College (NY) will host a camp and talent ID showcase on Tuesday, August 5. The showcase will take place from 10 AM to 12 PM at Schroon Lake CSD in Schroon Lake, New York.
Howard Community College (MD) will host a flag football and cheer combine on Saturday, August 9, with some help from the NFL's Baltimore Ravens. The combine will take place from 9 AM to 12 PM on campus.
Elmira College (NY) has updated its summer flag football camp and will now host it on Sunday, August 10. The college will hold it from 9 AM to 3 PM at Elmira College Turf Field. The camp was previously scheduled for three days from June 9 through June 11.
William Woods University (MO) and Illinois College will be attending the Push The Limit Girls Flag Football showcase on Sunday, August 17. The showcase will take place from 9 AM to 4 PM in Wentzville, Missouri.
NEW THIS WEEK: USA Football's Superflag Invitation will take place from August 30 through September 1, in Fort Worth, Texas. The 5-on-5 tournament will have multiple divisions and is invite-only. More information can be found here, including how to request an invitation.
PRP (KY) is hosting a girls flag football college exposure camp on Saturday, September 20. The camp will take place from 11 AM to 3:30 PM at PRP High School in Louisville, Kentucky.
The University of Mount Olive (NC) is postponing its coed flag football camp originally scheduled on Saturday, June 14, to a later date.
Villa Maria College (NY) will have a women's flag football camp & showcase on Saturday, February 14, 2026, which will feature US Women's National Team member Izzy Geraci. The camp will take place from 12 PM to 2:30 PM at Villa Maria's athletic center in Buffalo, New York.
NFL Continues to Build Flag Football Pipeline
Sports Business Journal's recent article examines how the NFL is trying to build a pipeline from youth leagues to the Olympics. The NFL franchises have added numerous youth leagues over the past year, pushed for sanctioning the sport at the high school level, helped fund high school and collegiate programs, and will see the sport debut at the 2028 Olympics. Furthermore, a professional flag football league is becoming increasingly likely due to the NFL's efforts, and this year's NFL Flag Championships will be broadcast, with some games being shown on ABC, ESPN, and ESPN2.
Nigeria Wins African Flag Championships
Nigeria won the 2025 IFAF African Championships in men's and women's flag football. The men's team won the gold medal game by a single point over Egypt, 13-12. On the women's side, Nigeria defeated Morocco 26-12 to win the gold medal.
Summer Series Concludes
The NFL's Summer Series took place last week with flag football players from around the country and the world competing in Carson, California. USA Football documented the week on its Instagram account, which is linked here. USWNT player Izzy Geraci made an appearance on the NFL Network's Good Morning Football discussing her time at the Summer Series last week.
