Women's Flag Football Rundown for June 9, 2025
Welcome to the June 9 edition of the women's flag football newsletter here at Collegiate Flag Football. This will cover news between June 2 and June 8, 2025. We offer our deepest condolences to the friends and family of Britt Delva following her passing last week. Delva was a former player at Thomas University in Georgia and had been serving as a Specialist in the U.S. Army at Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas.
No New Teams This Week
There are no new additions to the college flag football ranks to report this week. The teams page here at Collegiate Flag Football was overhauled for the 2025-26 academic year with a new, simplified layout. There are now individual pages specific to NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, NAIA, and programs outside the NCAA/NAIA. The future teams page was also updated. 2025-26 Scheduling Openings
The National Collegiate Flag Football League (NCFFL) has its 2025-26 interest form available. The NCFFL is looking to fill both fall and spring tournaments. The spring 2026 campaign will feature a 10-game season, with playoffs and a championship in 2026. Schools can fill out the interest form here. The College of Staten Island (NY) won the 2025 NCFFL Championship this spring.
Purdue Northwest (IN) is looking for opponents during the 2026 season. The school is willing to play in Jamborees and mini-tournaments within a 3-hour radius of the Hammond, Indiana area.
Coaches Clinics
For all the aspiring or current flag football coaches: Glazier Clinics will host an online coaches clinic on Saturday, June 20 and Sunday, June 21. Coaches from around the nation will provide insights on various topics to help build fundamentals. Current college head coaches scheduled to participate include: Amanda Ruler from Eastern University (PA), Caroline Schwartz from Benedictine University (IL), Charlie Holloway from William Woods (MO), Lane Barlow from Aurora University (IL), and Michael Maccagnano from Arizona Christian University.
Elite Flag Football (CA) is hosting a camp at Saddleback College in Mission Viejo, California. This camp will be held from 9 AM to 5:30 PM on Saturday, June 28 and Sunday, June 29. EFA is asking for college players and coaches who want to be involved to help instruct high school students and learn the new NFHS rule book.
Coaching News
Andrew College (GA) is seeking an assistant coach for its flag football team. The school will begin competing in the 2026 spring season as a member of the NJCAA. Those interested can send a message to the school's social media account.
Blackburn College (IL) is accepting applications for a full-time flag football coach. Blackburn announced the team earlier this year and will compete for the first time in the 2027 spring season as a member of the NCAA Division III.
Cedar Crest College (PA) is looking for a graduate assistant coach for next year. Those interested should contact Amanda Avvento.
Cottey College (MO) has selected Jay Osborne as the program's next head coach. Osborne replaces Alicia Freeman, who is now an assistant coach with Irvine Valley (CA). Osborne previously coached men's football at the University of St. Mary (KS) from 2010 through 2019 and at Independence Community College in 2020 and 2021.
Drake University (IA) posted a listing for its women's flag football club head coaching vacancy. The school hasn't made an official announcement about the flag football club team on its athletics website.
Golden West College (CA) named TJ Fenton as the program's inaugural head coach. Fenton is the head coach for the top-ranked high school flag football club team, OC Bolts. Fenton played collegiately at Southern Utah.
Maharishi International University (IA) has hired Makena Hurse as the program's first head coach. MIU will begin competing during the 2026 spring season.
Mount St. Mary's University (MD) is looking for an assistant coach for the 2025-26 academic year. Mount St. Mary's is an NCAA Division I institution, but will compete in the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas next season.
Rockford University (IL) is seeking a graduate assistant for its women's flag football team next year. The position is set to start on August 4.
Thomas (GA) has an opening for its head coaching role after the departure of Chelsea Parmer earlier this month. No official listing has been posted yet, while Ni'Ja Seals has been named the interim head coach.
The University of Mount Olive (NC) is looking to hire an offensive coordinator as well as add a few volunteer coaches and team managers. Those interested should send a resume to head coach Eric James.
Virginia Wesleyan University (VA) is accepting applications for the women's flag football head coaching position. The application stipulates that this is a part-time position. Virginia Wesleyan will play its inaugural season in 2026.
Former Nebraska Football Player Pens Letter About Flag Football
Former Nebraska Cornhusker Troy Hassebroek wrote a letter on the school's athletic website about his experience in flag football. Hassebroek spoke about his childhood in Lincoln, his daughter's initial interest in the sport, and his hopes for the sport. Hassebroek is hoping to see Nebraska sanction the sport at the high school level and sees the growth of the sport as an opportunity to build beyond the field.
Future Camps and Clinics

Neumann University (PA) will host a girls flag football league on Tuesdays and Thursdays during June. The league will begin on Tuesday, June 3 and end on Thursday, June 26. The league will cost $100 and will be run by Neumann's flag football coaching staff.
The University of Saint Francis (IN) will host a coed flag football clinic and seminar on Friday, June 13. The clinic will be held at Wayne High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana, with different age groups throughout the day.
Post University (CT) and Mount St. Mary's (MD) will be at the 32 Sports Flag Football College Showcase on Saturday, June 14. The showcase will take place from 9 AM to 11:30 AM in Hartford, Connecticut.
There will be a College ID Camp hosted by Bruce Mapp in McKinney, Texas, on Saturday, June 14. The "Put HER on the Mapp" camp will provide drills, coaching, scouting, and training sessions. Arizona Christian (AZ), Baker (KS), Concordia (TX), Keiser (FL), Texas Wesleyan (TX), and Saint Mary (KS) will be attending the camp.
The University of Mount Olive (NC) is hosting a coed flag football camp on Saturday, June 14. The camp will be held from 9 AM to 12 PM at the YMCA Field Complex in Goldsboro, North Carolina. UMO head coach Eric James will be in attendance.
St. Joseph's University Brooklyn (NY) will host a flag football skills showcase on Saturday, June 14. The showcase will be held at Our Lady of Grace Field in Brooklyn, New York, from 9 AM to 12:30 PM.
Southern Utah University is hosting its first girls' flag football tournament on Monday, June 16, and Tuesday, June 17, as part of the Larry H. Miller Utah Summer Games (USG). The tournament will partner with the Las Vegas Raiders and will be split into high school varsity, junior varsity, and middle school, with registration ending on Monday, May 26. College coaches are welcome to attend and those interested can send an email to usg@suu.edu.
Eastern University (PA) will be the site of a football skills development camp from Monday, June 16, through Thursday, June 19. This is a coed camp that will focus on offensive and defensive skills for kids ages 9 through 14. The camp will be held in Wayne, Pennsylvania.
The University of Kansas is hosting a girls flag football camp on Tuesday, June 17, from 12:45 PM through 3 PM. The camp will be held at the Kansas Football Indoor Practice Facility and the corresponding practice fields in Lawrence, Kansas.
Jackson State University (MS) will host multiple camps and clinics from Wednesday, June 18, through Saturday, June 21. June 18 and June 19 will feature youth camps, June 20 will be a team camp, and June 21 will be a women's clinic.
Warner University (FL) and Webber International (FL) will host a Girls Flag Football camp from Wednesday, June 18, through Friday, June 20.
Emmanuel University (GA) will host a girls flag football clinic on Saturday, June 21. The clinic will be held on Emmanuel's campus in Royston, Georgia, from 9 AM to 3 PM. Those interested can fill out the form here.
Ottawa University (KS) is hosting the Female Flag Nationals in partnership with the YMCA of Greater Kansas City. Check-in and a welcome event will be on Friday, June 20, while the games will take place on Saturday, June 21.
The University of Saint Mary in Leavenworth, Kansas, will host the Nike BallHER flag football camp from June 24 to June 26, 2025. Baker (KS), Mars Hill (NC), and Ottawa (KS) will also have representatives in attendance.
Millersville University (PA) is hosting a camp from June 26 through 29, 2025, as noted by Cedar Crest College (PA) in nearby Allentown.
Baldwin Wallace University (OH) will host a women's flag football camp on Friday, June 27. The camp will take place from 6 PM to 9 PM at George Finnie Stadium in Berea, Ohio.
Benedictine University (IL) will host a women's flag football clinic on Saturday, June 28. The clinic will take place from 10 AM to 12 PM at the school's sports complex in Lisle.
Harrisburg Area Community College will host a women's flag football skills clinic on Saturday, June 28. The clinic will be from 10 AM to 12 PM on HACC's campus.
Holy Family University (PA) will host two summer camps in June and July. The first camp will be held on Saturday, June 28, and Sunday, June 29. The second camp will be held on Saturday, July 12, and Sunday, July 13, for 2026 and 2027 graduates.
LaGrange College (GA) will host a flag football prospect camp on Saturday, June 28. The camp will be held from 10 AM to 1 PM, and is open to all high school players and college transfers.
Mars Hill University (NC) will host a two-day skills camp on Saturday, June 28 and Sunday, June 29. The camp will take place from 2 to 4 PM both days and be held at Meares Stadium on the Mars Hill campus.
Lindsey Wilson University (KY) will host a flag football showcase on Saturday, July 12. The showcase will be held at Mercy Academy in Louisville, Kentucky, from 6 PM to 8 PM. Those interested can fill out a Google Form.
Marian University (WI) will host a flag football prospect camp on Saturday, July 12. The camp will take place from 1 PM to 5 PM, is open to those in 9th through 12th grades, and all attendees will receive a $1,000 scholarship to Marian.
Graceland University (IA) will host its first annual flag football camp on Sunday, July 13. The school will host the camp starting at 10 AM on campus in Lamoni, Iowa.
UTEP (TX) football players will help host a flag football camp on Thursday, July 17. The camp will be held from 6 PM to 8 PM at Jefferson High School in El Paso, Texas.
Campbellsville University (KY) will have a flag football showcase on Saturday, July 19. The showcase will take place at Finley Stadium on the campus of Campbellsville University from 4 PM to 7 PM.
Texas Wesleyan (TX) is postponing its skills camp until mid-July to accommodate more attendees. A specific date has not been announced yet. The camp was originally scheduled for Saturday, May 31.
Marymount University (VA) will host a youth flag football camp from Monday, July 21, through Friday, July 25. The camp will run from 9 AM through 3 PM each day in Arlington, Virginia.
Illinois Wesleyan (IL) will host a flag football summer clinic on Saturday, July 26. The clinic will take place from 9 AM to 12:30 PM on campus in Bloomington.
SUNY Geneseo (NY) is hosting a flag football ID camp on Saturday, August 2. The camp is open to 8th through 12 graders, plus college freshmen, and will take place from 12 PM to 3 PM on Geneseo's campus.
Howard Community College (MD) will host a flag football and cheer combine, with some help from the NFL's Baltimore Ravens. The combine will take place from 9 AM to 12 PM on campus.
Elmira College (NY) has updated its summer flag football camp and will now host it on Sunday, August 10. The college will hold it from 9 AM to 3 PM at Elmira College Turf Field. The camp was previously scheduled for three days from June 9 through June 11.
William Woods University (MO) and Illinois College will be attending the Push The Limit Girls Flag Football showcase on Sunday, August 17. The showcase will take place from 9 AM to 4 PM in Wentzville, Missouri.
PRP (KY) is hosting a girls flag football college exposure camp on Saturday, September 20. The camp will take place from 11 AM to 3:30 PM at PRP High School in Louisville, Kentucky.
Hendrix Commit Ava Hanson Goes Viral
A video of quarterback Ava Hanson throwing a perfect deep pass to a receiver in stride went viral. The video even garnered attention overseas with posts in the UK's Daily Mail and the Irish Star. Hanson committed to Hendrix (TN) in April to start her collegiate career next season.
Tennessee to Discuss Flag Football
The Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association (TSSAA) will discuss flag football in the upcoming Board meeting this week. The TSSAA has an agenda item to determine if there will be a state championship, which would remove the sport from emerging status. If approved, the Legislative Council will determine which season flag football will be played in. Tennessee is one of 15 states to have sanctioned flag football as a high school sport.
