World Flag Series Announces Teams and Athletes for First Event
World Flag Series announced the three teams and official rosters that will compete at WFS1 later this month. WFS1 will take place at Suncoast Credit Union Stadium in Tampa, Florida, on Saturday, July 25, 2026. The WFS1 event will run from 6 to 9 PM Eastern Time.
“WFS1 is about creating a professional stage for the best flag football athletes in the world. These three teams bring together world-class talent, national team athletes, international champions, rising stars, and players who are helping build the future of the sport in their home countries. This is not another tournament. This is the beginning of the new professional platform for flag football.
Each of the three teams will have 10 athletes on the roster. The Glitter Bombs, H.E.R. (Hustle Every Rep), and Ice Queens were chosen as the team names. Athletes from 14 countries will be represented: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Canada, Chile, Cuba, Czechia, the Dominican Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Poland, and the USA. The rosters are provided in the table below, including each player's number, position, and country.

World Flag Series was founded by Phil Cutler, head coach of McGill University's flag football program in Canada. Cutler competed for a spot on Canada's men's national flag football team earlier this spring. Here's what Cutler had to say about the three rosters:
WFS1 will use a 5-on-5 format, which is the same format that will be used at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. All 30 athletes will be compensated. The World Flag Series is designed around elite competition, athlete storytelling, broadcast presentation, and premium fan experience.
