4 Additions This Week, 2 Changes
Davenport University (MI) announced the addition of a varsity women's flag football program beginning with the 2026-27 academic year. Davenport is the fourth school from the NCAA Division II GLIAC to add a club or varsity team.
Edward Waters University (FL) will add a varsity women's flag football team beginning with the 2026-27 academic year. EWU is the first team from the NCAA Division II SIAC to add a flag football program.
Elizabethtown College (PA) will add a varsity women's flag football program and begin competing in the 2027-28 academic year. Etown is the first school from the NCAA Division III Landmark Conference to add a flag football team.
Erskine College (SC) will delay its first season to spring 2027. Erksine had a 12-game schedule lined up for spring 2026, but ran into coaching staff issues.
Mount Saint Mary College (NY) elevated its flag football team to varsity status beginning with the 2026 spring season. MSMC is one of four schools from the NCAA Division III Skyline Conference to sponsor flag football.
St. Catherine University (MN) will also add a varsity women's flag football team beginning with the 2026-27 academic year. St. Kate's is the sixth team from the NCAA Division III MIAC to add a club or varsity program.
2026 Postseason Championships Dates Set
The 2026 NAIA Invitational and Women's College Flag Finals will take place from Wednesday, May 6, through Saturday, May 9, at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. The NAIA Invitational will feature an 8-team double-elimination tournament comprised of four (4) automatic qualifiers and four (4) at-large selections. The Women's College Flag Finals will be a 20-team bracket featuring seven (7) teams from the NAIA, seven (7) teams from the NCAA, and six (6) teams from the NJCAA. More information can be found here.
2026 Season News
The end of February brought more action to the field, with games from around the country. The top NAIA and NJCAA teams took part in a neutral-site tournament in Georgia, with Florida Gateway having an excellent start. 2026 First Top 25 Released By WCFF
The first Top 25 release of the WomensCollegeFlagFootball.com poll is out for the 2026 season. The Top 25 looks at all teams from across the country, regardless of governing body or club/varsity status. The first poll has Florida Gateway on top, ahead of a quartet of NAIA teams. Fellow conference member Daytona State (FL) is sixth, the NCAA D-I club team Florida is 8th, and the 3C2A duo of Irvine Valley (CA) and Saddleback (CA) are 9th and 10th.

2026 Spring Scheduling News
Cal Poly (CA) will host its first spring tournament on Saturday, May 9, and Sunday, May 10, 2026. The tournament is open to any school that wishes to participate, and it will be held on campus in San Luis Obispo, California. Any collegiate flag football program interested in competing at Cal Poly's tournament should contact Ryan Weisenberg (rweisenb@calpoly[dot]edu).
NEW THIS WEEK: The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) posted the 2026 spring schedule for its inaugural season. Games started back on Monday, February 4, and regular season matchups will be played through Sunday, April 26. The ECAC tournament will take place on Saturday, May 2, and Sunday, May 3.
NEW THIS WEEK: The Midwest College Women's Flag Football League (MCWFFL) set its spring 2026 jamboree schedule. The first one will take place on Saturday, April 11, at the College of St. Benedict in St. Joseph, Minnesota. The second jamboree is tentatively scheduled to be held on Saturday, April 18, at Bethel University in St. Paul, Minnesota. The MCWFFL championship will take place on Saturday, April 25, at TCO Stadium in Eagan, Minnesota.
NEW THIS WEEK: D'Youville University (NY) released its 2026 spring schedule. The Saints will start the season on Wednesday, March 4, at SUNY Geneseo and end the season on Sunday, April 26, with a doubleheader. The full slate is below.

Barry University (FL) posted a job description for the women's flag football team. Barry currently offers a club team, but will elevate the program to varsity status in the 2026-27 academic year.
Bucks County Community College (PA) posted a job description for the women's flag football club team. Bucks County will compete in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA).
NEW THIS WEEK: Cal Poly (CA) named Anthony Filice as head coach of its club team. Cal Poly will compete as a club program until it becomes a varsity program starting in the 2027-28 academic year. Cal Poly also named Kristen Sherman as an assistant coach.
Charleston Southern University (SC) posted a job description for the women's flag football head coaching position. CSU will begin competing in the 2027-28 academic year.
NEW THIS WEEK: Chestnut Hill College (PA) added Veronica Washington as an assistant coach for the 2026 spring season.

The College of Staten Island (NY) posted a job description for the women's flag football coaching vacancy. The team was previously led by Frank Jennaco, who went 7-0-1 in the spring 2025 season en route to winning the inaugural NCFFL Championship.
NEW THIS WEEK: Elizabethtown College (PA) posted the application form for the women's flag football head coaching vacancy. Elizabethtown will begin competing during the 2027-28 academic year.
NEW THIS WEEK: Fairleigh Dickinson University (NJ) named Steve Arnold as its first flag football head coach. Arnold has spent more than a decade in flag football operating and assisting various leagues. Arnold was named an assistant coach at Benedictine University (IL) in February 2026. FDU will begin competing in the 2026-27 academic year as a member of the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC).

NEW THIS WEEK: Graceland University (IA) posted the job description for the women's flag football head coaching vacancy. Previous head coach Aaron Richardson is leaving to take the same position at Lewis University (IL).
The Guimond Vukovic Group (GVG) is offering postgraduate opportunities for athletes seeking a one-year master's degree in the United Kingdom. Scholarship opportunities are available for students with a GPA of 2.8 or higher. Athletes who wish to continue playing collegiate flag football, develop programs, build the sport internationally, or pursue coaching opportunities are encouraged to apply. GVG offers a free service to connect student-athletes with partner institutions in the U.K. The FAQ section on GVG's website provides additional information. This postgraduate opportunity is in the United Kingdom.
Hardin-Simmons University (TX) posted the job description for the women's flag football head coaching role. HSU will begin playing in the 2026-27 academic year.
Harrisburg Area Community College (PA) posted a job description for the women's flag football head coaching vacancy. HACC competes in the NJCAA.
NEW THIS WEEK: Heidelberg University (OH) named Alex Castro as the head coach of the flag football program. Castro is also an assistant coach for Heidelberg's women's wrestling team.
NEW THIS WEEK: Holy Family University (PA) added a trio of assistant coaches for the 2026 season: Dylan Ferron, Tyrese Hayes, and Wynnefeld Smith.
Howard Payne University (TX) posted the job description for the women's flag football coaching vacancy. HPU will begin competing during the 2026-27 academic year.
Jacksonville University (FL) posted the job description for the women's flag football club team vacancy. Jacksonville will play its first season in spring 2026.
Midway University (KY) posted a job description for the women's flag football head coaching vacancy. Midway will now begin competing in the 2026-27 academic year.

Newberry College (SC) posted the job description for a women's flag football head coaching opening. Newberry will begin competing in spring 2026.
NEW THIS WEEK: Ottawa University (KS) head coach Liz Sowers as head coach and defensive coordinator Katie Sowers will leave after the 2026 spring season to take over the University of Nebraska flag football program. Entering the 2026 spring season, Sowers boasted an 88-8 overall record and a 34-1 mark in the KCAC, with 5 consecutive KCAC and NAIA titles. Nebraska will begin its first full season in the 2027-28 academic year.
Our Lady of the Lake University (TX) posted a job description for a flag football head coaching position. OLLU will begin playing in the 2026-27 academic year.
PennWest University, California (PA) posted a job description for the flag football head coaching position. PennWest previously named Noah Mitchell as the program's first head coachin May 2025.
NEW THIS WEEK: Pratt CC (KS) named Sade Roberts as interim head coach. Roberts takes over for Abbi Munson, who took the head coaching job at NCAA Division I North Alabama.
Saint Xavier University (IL) posted a job description for a flag football head coaching vacancy. SXU has not officially announced the addition of flag football.
SCAD Savannah (GA) posted the job description for an assistant coach on the women's flag football staff. SCAD will begin competing in the 2026-27 academic year and named Cristian Orth as head coach in November 2025.
Trenholm State Community College (AL) posted the job description for a women's flag football coaching vacancy. TSCC has not officially announced the start of a flag football program.
Triton College (IL) is seeking an assistant coach for the 2026 spring season. Those interested should reach out to head coach Scott Smith at samuelesmith3@triton[dot]com.
The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth posted the job description for a women's flag football head coaching vacancy. UMass Dartmouth hasn't officially announced a flag football program.
NEW THIS WEEK: The University of Michigan is accepting applications for its women's flag football club team. The application deadline is Monday, March 16.

The University of South Carolina Upstate posted the job description for a women's flag football head coaching opportunity. USC Upstate will launch a varsity team in the 2026-27 academic year.

Union College (NY) will host a flag football prospect camp on Saturday, March 7, from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM. The camp will be held on campus at Brooks Field at Achilles Center in Schenectady, New York. The Philadelphia Eagles will host a youth Talent ID Camp on Sunday, March 8, 2026, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The camp will run from 9 AM to 5 PM. The registration deadline is Friday, February 27, 2026.
The Arizona Cardinals will host an NFL FLAG Spring Regional on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at the West Valley Sports Complex in Glendale, Arizona. The registration deadline is Monday, February 9, 2026.
The Miami Dolphins will host an NFL FLAG Spring Regional on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Mills Pond Park in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The registration deadline is Monday, February 9, 2026.
The Dallas Cowboys will host a youth Talent ID Camp on Sunday, March 15, 2026, in Dallas, Texas. The camp will run from 9 AM to 5 PM. The registration deadline is Friday, March 6, 2026.
Blackburn College (IL) will host a high school flag football clinic on Saturday, March 21, from 2 to 5 PM. The clinic will be held at the Blackburn Athletic Center in Carlinville, Illinois. The registration link is here.
Howard Community College (MD) will host a spring flag football league in the Spring of 2026. Games will be played each Sunday, starting March 22, 2026, and the league will conclude on June 14, 2026.
Niagara Youth Flag Football (Canada) will host an All-Girls University Camp on Sunday, March 22, 2026, from 9 AM to 12 PM. The camp will take place at Youngs Sportsplex in Welland, Ontario, Canada. Canadian Universities Brock, Sheridan, and Western will be joined by Villa Maria College from the Buffalo, New York area.
The San Francisco 49ers will host an NFL FLAG Spring Regional on Sunday, March 22, 2026, in Morgan Hill, California. The registration deadline is Monday, February 16, 2026.
The Chicago Bears will host a youth Talent ID Camp on Saturday, March 28, 2026, in Bridgeview, Illinois. The camp will run from 9 AM to 5 PM. The registration deadline is Friday, March 20, 2026.
Howard Community College (MD) will host a flag football scouting combine the weekend of Saturday, March 28, 2026, and Sunday, March 29, 2026. The camp will take place in Columbia, Maryland, and is open to high school girls in grades 9 through 12. The camp coincides with the NCFFL's Maryland Championship Series.
The Jacksonville Jaguars will host an NFL FLAG Spring Regional on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Clay County Parks in Middleburg, Florida. The registration deadline is Monday, March 9, 2026.
The University of Georgia will host a flag football camp on Saturday, March 28, from 9:30 to 11:30 AM. The camp is open to 9th through 12th graders and will take place at Maynard H. Jackson High School in Atlanta, Georgia. Those interested can register here.
Albright College (PA) is hosting a flag football skills camp on Saturday, April 4, at 4 PM on campus in Reading, Pennsylvania. The camp is open to students in 9th through 12th grade.
Meredith College (NC) will host a flag football prospect camp on Saturday, April 4, for 9th through 12th graders. The camp will run from 10 AM to 12 PM and be held on campus at the flag football field in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Lancaster Bible College (PA) will host a flag football scouting combine on Friday, April 10, 2026, and Saturday, April 11, 2026. The camp will take place in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and is open to high school girls in grades 9 through 12. The camp coincides with the NCFFL's Pennsylvania Championship Series.
The Baltimore Ravens will host an NFL FLAG Spring Regional on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Western Regional Park in Cooksville, Maryland. The registration deadline is Monday, March 9, 2026.
Jackson State Community College (TN) is hosting a flag football prospect showcase from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM on Saturday, April 4. The showcase is open to athletes graduating from 2026 through 2029, as well as transfers. The showcase will take place on campus in Jackson, Tennessee.
The Kansas City Chiefs will host an NFL FLAG Spring Regional on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Paragon Star in Kansas City, Missouri. The registration deadline is Monday, March 9, 2026.
The University of Montana is hosting a flag football prospect camp on Saturday, April 11, in Missoula, Montana. The camp is open to high school girls ages 16 to 19.
Wildchild Athletics (MI) will host a girls flag football scholarship showcase on Saturday, April 11, in Livonia, Michigan. The showcase is open to middle school and high school athletes and will take place at the Trinity Sports Dome from 6:30 to 9:30 PM. Those interested can register here.
The Carolina Panthers will host an NFL FLAG Spring Regional on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at Manchester Meadows in Rock Hill, South Carolina. The registration deadline is Monday, March 16, 2026.
The Detroit Lions will host an NFL FLAG Spring Regional on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at Tom Adams Field at Wayne State in Detroit, Michigan. The registration deadline is Monday, March 16, 2026.
The Pittsburgh Steelers will host an NFL FLAG Spring Super Regional on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Montour Sports Center in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania. The registration deadline is Monday, March 23, 2026.
The Atlanta Falcons will host an NFL FLAG Spring Regional on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Franklin Gateway in Marietta, Georgia. The registration deadline is Monday, March 30, 2026.
The Los Angeles Rams will host an NFL FLAG Spring Regional on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Edison High School in Huntington Beach, California. The registration deadline is Monday, March 30, 2026.
The NCFFL will host a national flag football scouting combine on the weekend of Saturday, May 2, 2026, and Sunday, May 3, 2026. The camp will take place in Tinton Falls, New Jersey, and is open to high school girls in grades 9 through 12. The camp coincides with the NCFFL's Nationals tournament the same weekend.
The Denver Broncos will host an NFL FLAG Spring Regional on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Aurora Sports Park in Aurora, Colorado. The registration deadline is Monday, April 6, 2026.

She Plays (AZ) is hosting a girls flag football college showcase and combine on Sunday, May 31, 2026. The showcase will be held from 9 AM to 12 PM in Chandler, Arizona. Arizona Christian University, Benedictine University at Mesa (AZ), Chowan University (NC), Grossmont College (CA), Lourdes University (OH), Mars Hill University (NC), Meredith College (NC), North Park University (IL), SCAD Savannah (GA), University of Arizona, University of Northwestern Ohio, and University of Redlands (CA) are expected to be in attendance.
Calhoun Community College (AL) is hosting a pair of flag football camps at the start of June. On Monday, June 1, a camp will be held from 9 AM to 12 PM for 3rd through 8th graders. On Tuesday, June 2, a camp will be held from 9 AM to 3 PM for 9th through 12th graders.

Missouri Valley College (MO) will host a girls flag football camp in collaboration with Nike, from Friday, June 26, through Sunday, June 28. The camp will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 PM on Friday, followed by 9 AM to 2 PM on Saturday and Sunday. The camp will be held in Marshall, Missouri.
The International Flag League (formerly USA Flag) will host its 2027 National Championships in Tampa, Florida, on MLK weekend in January 2027. The dates are tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, January 13, 2027, through Sunday, January 17, 2027.
The International Flag League (formerly USA Flag) will host its 2027 World Championships in Los Angeles, California, from Thursday, July 8, 2027, through Sunday, July 11, 2027. A collegiate division will be competing for the first time at the 2027 championships.
Minnesota Vikings Expand Flag Football Efforts to North Dakota
The Minnesota Vikings are boosting high school flag football in North Dakota. The NFL franchise announced a partnership with the Fargo Park District to launch flag football programs in the area. The partnership will start with 8 teams in 2026, rosters will have a minimum of 10 players, and games will take place from Sunday, April 26, through Saturday, June 6.
Players of the Week Named
The KCAC named its players of the week for the games during the final week of February. The Offensive Player of the Week award went to Tahmya Squire of Cottey College (MO). She tallied 9 catches for 133 yards and 4 touchdowns in Cottey's win over Bethel College (KS). The Defensive honors went to Andrea Moon of Southwestern College (KS). Moon recorded 6 flag pulls and 3 sacks for 24 yards in the defensive 7-0 win over William Woods (MO).
In the Sun Conference, it was a duo from Warner University (FL) that captured the players of the week. Quarterback Kathryn Hutchinson threw for 728 yards and 17 touchdowns in the two wins. On defense, it was Jessica Finley, who recorded 7 interceptions and a pick-six in Warner's two wins.
Texas Wesleyan to Join NCAA Division II in 2028
Texas Wesleyan University will be moving from the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) to NCAA Division II beginning with the 2028-29 academic year. Texas Wesleyan did not say which conference it would join as a member of NCAA D-II, but it will provide updates throughout the process. The Rams started their inaugural flag football campaign on Friday, February 27, with a doubleheader against Concordia Texas and Texas Southern.
