3 Additions This Week
Agnes Scott College (GA) will add a women's flag football team and begin competing during the 2026-27 academic year. Agnes Scott is the third school from the NCAA Division III Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) to add the sport.
Indiana Wesleyan will add a varsity flag football team and begin competing during the 2026-27 academic year. IWU is the second team from the NAIA's Crossroads League to add the sport.
Thiel College (PA) will add a women's flag football club program and begin competing during the 2025-26 academic year. Thiel is the sixth team from the NCAA Division III Presidents' Athletic Conference to add the sport.
2025-26 College Flag Football Season Continues
The Alabama Community College Conference (ACCC) rolled on this past weekend. Wallace State won its two games versus Bishop State and Lurleen B. Wallace by a combined margin of 102-0, and improved to 12-0 overall. Second-place Calhoun also went 2-0 against Bishop State and Shelton State to move to 11-3 overall. Shelton State sits third at 6-4, while Snead State is in fourth place at 8-6. The season will continue next week, and it will feature another clash of the top teams, as Wallace State and Calhoun meet for a doubleheader on Sunday, October 26.
Ferrum University (VA) emerged as the inaugural winner of the NCFFL's Fall Classic Tournament. Ferrum took the field for the first time this weekend and captured the event held by Howard Community College in Columbia, Maryland. Kali Jacobs was named the MVP of the Fall Classic. The Panthers are slated to compete in the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas during the spring 2026 campaign.
Up in Canada, the Ontario Women's Collegiate Football League continued this past weekend with another 5v5 qualifier at Sheridan. The A Teams for Queens and Western both improved to 8-0, while Queens B and Waterloo are at 6-2 after two qualifiers. The scores can be found on OWIFA's social media account.
2025-26 Postseason Tournaments
While the majority of flag football programs won't start competing until the spring, the NJCAA's Alabama Community College Conference (ACCC) will have its conference tournament in a few weeks. Snead State will host the tournament from Friday, November 14, through Sunday, November 16. Looking beyond that, most conferences have already provided dates for tournaments next spring. You can see a list of those dates on the scheduling page. The brackets will be updated as they become available.
2025-26 Scheduling News
The 2025-26 National Collegiate Flag Football League (NCFFL) registration is open. The spring 2026 campaign will feature a 10-game season, with playoffs and a championship in 2026. The NCFFL also posted dates for its spring tournaments and championships, which are as follows:
The first spring tournament will take place on Saturday, March 28, and Sunday, March 29, at Howard Community College (MD) in Columbia, Maryland. The second spring tournament will take place two weeks later, on Friday, April 10, and Saturday, April 11, at Lancaster Bible College (PA) in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Finally, the NCFFL National Championships will be held on Saturday, May 2, and Sunday, May 3, at the Capelli Sports Complex in Tinton Falls, New Jersey.
The NCFFL updated the membership for the 2025-26 academic year. Over 20 schools will participate during the 2025-26 academic year and the list of participating schools includes:

The IFFA has posted a survey for college teams regarding the College Flag Showdown for next season. Schools can let the IFFA know which days, how many total games, and the number of daily games they wish to play at the tournament. The 2026 College Flag Showdown is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, March 4, through Saturday, March 7.
The University of Florida will host its 37th Annual Swamp Bowl from Friday, October 24, through Sunday, October 26. College flag football teams will compete on Friday, October 24, and Saturday, October 25. High school teams will play on Saturday, October 25, and Sunday, October 26. Interested college teams can sign up here, while high school teams can sign up here.
The University of Delaware's flag football team is looking for teams to participate in its tournament on Saturday, October 25, and Sunday, October 26. Interested schools should contact the team via social media or send an email to Kayla Comizio (kaylacomizio@gmail.com).
The Women's Collegiate Flag Football League (WCFFL) is looking for additional teams to compete during the 2025-26 academic year. The WCFFL will have tournaments in the fall and spring. Those interested should contact Ms. Venisha Lee at wcflagfootball1@gmail.com.
Big South Conference Watching Flag Football
Big South Conference Commissioner Sherika Montgomery spoke with SB Nation about several topics, including women's flag football. Montgomery said, "We have three-to-four additional member institutions that we’re actively engaging in discussions with NFL representatives... So, we’re really excited about women’s flag football.” One Big South school that has already added flag football is Radford University (VA), which announced the addition of a club team in May 2025. Radford will begin competing during the 2025-26 academic year.
Coaching News
Aurora University (IL) posted a job description for a part-time assistant women's flag football coaching position.
Caldwell University (NJ) has posted an opening for a part-time women's flag football head coach. Caldwell will add flag football beginning with the 2026-27 academic year.
Campbellsville University (KY) is seeking a part-time assistant flag football coach. The Tigers named Spencer McCown head coach in July 2025.
Cedar Crest College (PA) has posted the job description for the flag football head coaching vacancy. Amanda Avvento was previously the head coach.
The College of Saint Benedict (MN) posted a job description for a women's flag football head coaching vacancy.
NEW THIS WEEK: The College of Saint Mary (NE) named Nancy Javaux-Major as the program's inaugural head coach. Javaux-Major has experience as a head coach in women's tackle football and works for the Nebraska Pride of the Women's Football Alliance. Saint Mary will begin competing during the 2026-27 academic year.
NEW THIS WEEK: Florida Memorial University has named Clavens Charles and Andrew Harper as co-head coaches for the flag football team. Clavens is also the running backs coach for the men's football team, while Harper serves as the equipment manager for FMU.
NEW THIS WEEK: Indiana Wesleyan University has posted the head coaching job description for the newly formed flag football team. IWU will begin competing during the 2026-27 academic year.
Lakeland University (WI) has posted the job description for the women's flag football head coaching vacancy. Lakeland will begin competing during the 2025-26 academic year.
Penn State Schuylkill (PA) is seeking a part-time defensive coordinator. The Nittany Lions will compete in the NCAA Division III Atlantic East Conference in the 2025-26 academic year.
NEW THIS WEEK: Point Park University (PA) named Sharon Vasquez as the inaugural flag football head coach. Vasquez was most recently the head coach at Woodland Hills High School in Churchill, Pennsylvania, and won back-to-back sectional championships. Vazquez was also a member of Team USA's women's tackle football, winning two gold medals and two silver medals from 2010 through 2013. Point Park will begin competing during the 2026-27 academic year.
Roxbury Community College (MA) posted the job description for the women's flag football head coaching position. Roxbury CC will begin competing in the spring of 2026.
Saginaw Valley State University (MI) posted the job description for the women's flag football head coaching position. SVSU will begin competing during the 2026-27 academic year.
Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in Savannah, Georgia, posted a job description for a flag football head coaching position. The school will begin competing during the 2026-27 academic year.
SUNY Old Westbury (NY) has posted a job description for the women's flag football head coaching position. Old Westbury is planning to have a varsity team by the start of the 2026 spring season.
Thomas University (GA) has an opening for its head coaching role after the departure of Chelsea Parmer earlier this month. The official posting can be found here.
The University of Buffalo (NY) is looking for offensive coaches to join the flag football staff. Those interested should reach out via social media.
NEW THIS WEEK: The University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh has named Deante Jefferson as the first head coach for the program. Jefferson is the head coach for the flag football team at Appleton North High School. UW-Oshkosh will begin competing in the 2026 spring season. The deadline to apply for the position is Tuesday, September 16.
NEW THIS WEEK: The University of Mount Olive (NC) has posted the job description for the flag football head coaching vacancy.
The University of South Florida is looking for a head coach. Those interested should contact the club's president or vice president.
William Smith College (NY) is seeking a head coach for its newly established flag football program.

The Chicago Bears will host an NFL Flag Regional Tournament on Saturday, October 25. The tournament will be held at Clarence Hicks Sports Complex in Rockford, Illinois. Registration for the tournament ends on Monday, September 29.
Slippery Rock University (PA) will host a flag football showcase and tournament on Saturday, October 25. The talent ID camp and showcase will take place from 10 AM to 2 PM and is for girls in grades 8 through 12. The women's 5 v 5 flag football tournament is open only to adults and will take place from 3 to 7:30 PM. Both events will be held at the McFarland Recreation Sports Complex on campus.
NEW THIS WEEK: Illinois Wesleyan University is hosting a flag football clinic for high school girls on Sunday, October 26. The clinic will take place from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Tucci Stadium in Bloomington, Illinois.
NEW THIS WEEK: Kansas Wesleyan University is partnering with the Salina Family YMCA to host a flag football camp on Sunday, October 26. The camp will take place from 1 to 3 PM at the YMCA Sports Fields in Salina, Kansas.
The Las Vegas Raiders will host an NFL Flag Regional Tournament on Sunday, October 26. The tournament will be held at Heritage Park in Henderson, Nevada. Registration for the tournament ends on Monday, September 29.
The New York Jets will host an NFL Flag Regional Tournament on Sunday, October 26. The tournament will be held at Anzaldi Park in Clifton, New Jersey. Registration for the tournament ends on Monday, September 29.
Aurora University (IL) will host the Illinois Senior Bowl on Saturday, November 1, and Sunday, November 2. The event will be for 50 of the state's senior players. Nominations are currently open.
The Indianapolis Colts will host an NFL Flag Regional Tournament on Saturday, November 1. The tournament will be held at Grand Park in Westfield, Indiana. Registration for the tournament ends on Monday, October 6.
Meredith College (NC) will host a fall prospect camp on Saturday, November 1, from 9 AM to 12 PM. The camp is open to current high school players and will be held on campus in Raleigh, North Carolina.
The New Orleans Saints will host an NFL Flag Regional Tournament on Saturday, November 1. The tournament will be held at the Shrine/Saints Facility in Metairie, Louisiana. Registration for the tournament ends on Monday, October 6.
The Washington Commanders will host an NFL Flag Regional Tournament on Saturday, November 1. The tournament will be held at the Fields at RFK in Washington, DC. Registration for the tournament ends on Monday, October 6.
USA Football is hosting a Talent ID Camp in association with the Kansas City Chiefs on Saturday, November 8. The camp will be held at the Chiefs Indoor Facility in Kansas City, Missouri.
The New England Patriots will host an NFL Flag Regional Tournament on Saturday, November 8. The tournament will be held at Forkicks Taunton in Taunton, Massachusetts. Registration for the tournament ends on Monday, October 13.
The Dallas Cowboys will host an NFL Flag Regional Tournament on Sunday, November 9. The tournament will be held at the Cowboys' practice facility (The Star) in Frisco, Texas. Registration for the tournament ends on Monday, October 13.
NEW THIS WEEK: Eastern University (PA) will host a flag football ID camp on Sunday, November 9. The camp will take place from 1 to 3 PM in Wayne, Pennsylvania.
Keiser University (FL) will host a girls flag football clinic on Sunday, November 9. The clinic will run from 9 AM to 11 AM and be held at the KU multi-purpose field.
Arizona Christian University will host a youth flag football camp on Friday, November 14. The clinic will be held on campus at ACU's main football field from 6:30 to 8:30 PM.
USA Football is hosting a Talent ID Camp in association with the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, November 23. The camp will be held at Campo Verde High School in Gilbert, Arizona.
The Los Angeles Chargers will host an NFL Flag Regional Tournament on Sunday, November 23. The tournament will be held at Great Park in Irvine, California. Registration for the tournament ends on Monday, October 27.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will host an NFL Flag Regional Tournament on Sunday, November 23. The tournament will be held at the SouthShore Complex in Apollo Beach, Florida. Registration for the tournament ends on Monday, October 27.
Daytona State College (FL) will host a skills and ID camp on Saturday, December 6, in Daytona Beach, Florida. The camp will take place from 10 AM to 1 PM on campus.
The Houston Texans will host an NFL Flag Regional Tournament on Saturday, December 6. The tournament will be held at Farm League Park in Spring, Texas. Registration for the tournament ends on Monday, November 10.
Norco College (CA) will host a showcase camp on Saturday, December 6, from 11 AM to 2 PM. The camp will be attended by Arizona Christian (AZ), Aurora (IL), Benedictine Mesa (AZ), Golden West (CA), Hope International (CA), Irvine Valley College (CA), La Sierra (CA), Ottawa (AZ), Purdue Northwest (IN), Santiago Canyon College (CA), and Simpson (CA).
Ottawa University (AZ) will host a flag football recruit day on Saturday, December 6, from 9 AM to 3 PM. The experience will allow recruits to meet coaches, tour the campus, and participate in a few drills.
Warner University (FL) will host a showcase camp on Saturday, December 6, in Lake Wales, Florida. The camp will take place from 9:30 AM to 3 PM and is open to players graduating between 2026 and 2029. Coaches from LaGrange College (GA), St. Thomas University (FL), and Wingate (NC) will be in attendance.
USA Football is hosting a Talent ID Camp in association with the Houston Texans on Sunday, December 7. The camp will be held at Farm League Park in Spring, Texas.
Whittier College (CA) will host a showcase camp on Sunday, December 7, in Whittier, California. The camp will take place from 9:30 AM to 3 PM and is open to players graduating between 2026 and 2029. Coaches from Arizona Christian University, Golden West College (CA), and La Sierra University (CA) will be in attendance.
There will be a showcase camp at Locust Grove High School (GA) on Sunday, December 14, in Locust Grove, Georgia. The camp will take place from 9:30 AM to 3 PM and is open to players graduating between 2026 and 2029. Coaches from Chowan University (NC), LaGrange College (GA), Meredith College (NC), Reinhardt University (GA), and Wingate (NC) will be in attendance.
USA Flag will host the 2026 World Championships from Wednesday, January 14, through Sunday, January 18, 2026, in Tampa, Florida. The deadline to secure a spot is Friday, October 10. Teams can still register between October 11 and December 5, but will be placed on a waiting list.
The Heritage Girls Flag Bowl will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, in San Diego, California. The Flag Bowl is open to junior and senior high school students. Players interested in participating can register here, with coaches from the two teams evaluating and ranking players to provide an opportunity to be drafted to play in the Heritage Bowl. The registration deadline is Saturday, October 25, and players will be drafted on Saturday, November 1. Players participating in the Flag Bowl will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to San Diego.
Villa Maria College (NY) will have a women's flag football camp & showcase on Saturday, February 14, 2026, which will feature US Women's National Team member Izzy Geraci. The camp will take place from 12 PM to 2:30 PM at Villa Maria's athletic center in Buffalo, New York.
Howard Community College (MD) will host a spring flag football league in the Spring of 2026. Games will be played each Sunday, starting March 22, 2026, and the league will conclude on June 14, 2026.
NEW THIS WEEK: Howard Community College (MD) will host a flag football scouting combine the weekend of Saturday, March 28, 2026, and Sunday, March 29, 2026. The camp will take place in Columbia, Maryland, and is open to high school girls in grades 9 through 12. The camp coincides with the NCFFL's Maryland Championship Series.
NEW THIS WEEK: Lancaster Bible College (PA) will host a flag football scouting combine on Friday, April 10, 2026, and Saturday, April 11, 2026. The camp will take place in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and is open to high school girls in grades 9 through 12. The camp coincides with the NCFFL's Pennsylvania Championship Series.
NEW THIS WEEK: The NCFFL will host a national flag football scouting combine on the weekend of Saturday, May 2, 2026, and Sunday, May 3, 2026. The camp will take place in Tinton Falls, New Jersey, and is open to high school girls in grades 9 through 12. The camp coincides with the NCFFL's Nationals tournament the same weekend.
Millersville University (PA) will host its 2nd annual girls flag football camp from Wednesday, June 24, through Sunday, June 28, 2026.
Kyle Hamilton, Steve Young Help Build Flag Football
Baltimore Ravens safety Kyle Hamilton held an NFL FLAG football clinic for military families during his bye week. The Ravens have been helping build up the local high school flag football scene by providing funding to programs in Maryland. The Washington Commanders also helped fund flag football clinics in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area.
Former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Steve Young is partnering with the 49ers Foundation and his Forever Young Foundation to bring flag football to over 100 schools in the San Francisco area.
Illinois, Indiana Crown Champions
Illinois and Indiana completed their high school flag football championships this past weekend. In Illinois, Maine South defeated Whitney Young 26-6 to claim the school's first flag football championship in only the second year of competition in the IHSA. Next door in the Hoosier state, Penn High School defeated Lawrence North High School 35-12 to win the inaugural IHSAA title.
Mount St. Mary's Names First Roster
Mount St. Mary's University (MD) announced its first flag football roster. The 17-person roster is made up of 16 freshmen and one sophomore from Maryland, Washington, D.C., and West Virginia. Mount St. Mary's will play its first season in the spring of 2026 as a member of the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas.
New Jersey Likely to Sanction Flag Football in 2026
The New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA) will vote to sanction flag football as a high school championship sport in May 2026. The vote is likely to pass, with the first championship slated for 2027. The NJSIAA will split the sport into A and B divisions, while having North and South sections, at least for the first year.
